The key point to take away from this lesson is finding an overhead structure or the capability of shooting parallel with shadow lines when it’s high noon. Shooting in bare sunlight when the sun is directly overhead often creates quite bland results, interesting images are created by depth. The reflections you’ll find naturally created on the vehicle’s body lines when using this technique offers a fantastic starting point for your final composition. Whether you’re lighting it externally with strobes or other, having a good starting point usually guarantees a successful outcome.
In the start to finish edit segment of the video I realize I did speed through the majority of all techniques used. For a more in-depth breakdown of every technique shown in this video please refer to the Advanced Automotive Photoshop LiveClass from myself on LiveClass Commune.
